Olympian Gods

The first Olympian gods consists of the six children of Rhea and Cronus:
  • Goddesses - Hestia, Demeter and Hera
  • Gods - Hades, Poseidon and Zeus

After disposing of their father, Cronus, Zeus upon urging of his brothers and sisters accepted the honour to rule over them.

To decide the dominion of each god, (goddess were excluded), the three brothers put their names in a helmet and drew them to determine the lords of the sky, sea and Underworld. Zeus drew the sky
